Expérience négative: Sind etwa fünf Jahre hintereinander hier zum Urlaub gewesen. Wirklich tolle Szenerie, allein schon die Baum- Allle, wirklich bemerkenswert. Gepflegtes Anwesen, sehr ruhig, grosse Parkanlage. Zimmer im Altbau oder in Nebengebäude wählbar. Unsere 2 Zimmer waren im Nebengebäude, Blick Hinterhof, unten befanden sich wohl Tonnen, nicht immer leise! Badezimmer neu renoviert, gut gemacht! Was gar nicht ging: Das Verhalten des Servicepersonals und der Chefin betreffend unseres Anliegens beim "Menu Degustation" an einem der Abende. Unsere Frage wurde sowohl von dem Service, der am Tisch bediente als auch von der Chefin schlicht negiert, ignoriert und einfach übergangen. Eine Frechheit, die dazu führen wird, dass wir uns zukünftig freundlichere Logements in der Gegend, die wirklich charmant ist, suchen werden. Eigentlich schade......

Breakfast and dinner in front of the hotel are exceptional and the venue is stunning. The rooms are quiet and an absolute Provençal dream. The entire place feels like a fairytale. The staff as very welcoming and assisted with everything from running routes to birthday surprises. Can’t wait to go back!

La première soirée proposait un menu à six mains, un voyage exquis de saveurs qui alliait le meilleur de la cuisine française et argentine. Au-delà du niveau culinaire exceptionnel et du service impeccable, le lieu est tout simplement magique, avec un charme unique qui reflète son histoire, son dévouement et l’amour avec lequel il a été entretenu par une famille passionnée. Les jardins, plongés dans une atmosphère intemporelle, invitent à rêver et à se détendre. La deuxième soirée offrait une véritable expérience argentine, avec un grand feu parmi les tables, parfait pour savourer des viandes grillées de haute qualité et des vins d’exception. En dehors de ces événements uniques, j’invite tout le monde à découvrir le Château. Idéalement situé, à seulement 2 km de Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, avec ses charmantes boutiques, et proche d’Arles. Pour ceux qui recherchent un séjour plus tranquille, les installations de l’hôtel sont incomparables, avec une salle de sport, une piscine, et la véritable perle de la propriété : ses jardins avec des arbres centenaires. Le service du Château est restreint et hautement personnalisé, conçu pour ceux qui privilégient la chaleur humaine et la qualité plutôt que l’uniformité des grandes chaînes hôtelières. Chaque détail est soigneusement pris en compte, créant une expérience intime et exclusive pour les hôtes. L’offre gastronomique est locale et fraîche, et le service, de la cuisine au room service, est exceptionnel. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe qui fait du Château des Alpilles un lieu vraiment unique au monde.

Expérience négative: A Honeymoon Experience Gone Wrong We recently stayed at what was supposed to be a luxurious five-star hotel for our honeymoon, and it was, unfortunately, a series of disappointing events that tarnished what should have been a special occasion. From the moment we arrived, we realized that the hotel didn’t live up to its five-star rating, and I urge anyone considering this hotel to read this review in full — especially the negative reviews from others, which, in hindsight, we should have done more thoroughly ourselves. The real shock came on our second night when we were informed that the hotel would not be providing any room service whatsoever. The reason? They had a “special chef” in town for a private event, and as a result, the hotel restaurant was unavailable to regular guests. This seemed absurd to us. How does a five-star hotel, one that promotes itself on service and luxury, simply cut off all room service because of a private event? When we booked this hotel, we did so under the assumption that it would maintain a high level of service. Room service is a standard offering at any reputable hotel, and this standard was not met. Things escalated further when we tried to address this issue with the manager or owner, a woman named Maya. To say that Maya was rude would be an understatement. From the moment we raised our concerns, she was dismissive and aggressive. I explained that it wasn’t our problem if the restaurant was booked for a private event — we were paying guests who were promised a certain level of service, and this was a major inconvenience. This hotel is located in a small town, where you need to drive to get to places especially if you are older or have kids. Kitchens close around 9 at the most restaurants so your options are very limited. Maya, however, offered no empathy or understanding. Instead, she became confrontational and unapologetic, making the entire situation even worse. After our phone conversation, Maya called back and told us she would make a "very big exception" for us. Her grand gesture? She offered us *eggs* as room service. It felt like a slap in the face, as if they were mocking us for even requesting room service in the first place. We declined her "offer" and ended up having to leave the hotel to search for a restaurant in the small, remote town. This was no easy feat, as the hotel is far from any major city and took us hours to drive to from Nice. What makes this entire situation even more unfortunate is the fact that this was supposed to be a romantic getaway for our honeymoon. The attitude of the management, particularly Maya, left a lasting negative impression. A five-star hotel should make every guest feel special, but we were treated as though our concerns were not valid, and as though we were inconveniencing them. In the end, we checked out early, and I can confidently say we will never return to this hotel. What should have been a memorable stay for all the right reasons turned into a nightmare due to poor service, mismanagement, and sheer disrespect from the hotel’s leadership. I strongly urge anyone considering this hotel to thoroughly read the negative reviews before booking. They paint a clear picture of how the management, especially Maya, handles guest concerns — with indifference and rudeness. Upon check out there was no mention of the issue, they didn’t ask how our stay was. For a place that markets itself as a luxury experience, they have a lot to learn about hospitality. If you’re expecting five-star service, you won’t find it here. Save yourself the disappointment, especially if you’re planning something special like a honeymoon. We regret not doing more research beforehand, and we hope this review helps others avoid the same mistake. The hotel owners are not true hosts or appreciate the value of what hospitality is. Please read the responses by management to the real negative reviews and you will understand their true values towards guests.

Expérience positive: Went for dinner, quite pricy at €75 a person got only a 3 course meal. Portions were medium to small in size and we were definitely not full after. Veil was quite overcooked. Other than this, hotel is stunning, great location and impeccable service.

Expérience positive: We made reservations for lunch last week based on the gorgeous photos of the dining room and recommendations from friends in the area. There is no reservation mechanism for the dining room other than to call or email to ask for a reservation. Unfortunately, no one ever responded to our email request. So we called and were advised that it was next to impossible to obtain a dinner reservation because priority is given to guests staying at the hotel and, the reality is that the chateau has more rooms than it does tables to offer even them. It was suggested that we make reservations for lunch and of course, we were thrilled. What we didn’t know was that lunch was served at the pool not the restaurant; as in the pool bar/cafe. It was a little bizarre to have formal food like a whole fish deboned table side in a setting normally reserved for burgers and hot dogs, where kids are screaming either because they are having fun in the pool, would prefer to go back to the pool rather than have lunch or are just tired because they needed a nap, not lunch. That part was disappointing, especially since we were dressed for a nice restaurant. Not criticizing the hotel but rather, just a know before you go tip. The food however, was delicious but in my view, meant to enjoy in more refined circumstances.

Der Service war ein bisschen überfordert damit, dass wir mit 8 Leuten + ein Kleinkind à la carte gegessen haben, statt, wie hier offenbar sonst üblich bei dieser Personenzahl. nach Menü. Das war aber vorher auch abgesprochen. Das Timing war daher nicht ganz perfekt. Wir hatten trotzdem einen tollen Tag und mein Sohn konnte sich auf dem Riesengelände gut austoben. Die Location ist wirklich malerisch!

The hotel is managed by a charming mother and daughter, who give a feeling of family and home, even though it is a very well-kept hotel, beautifully designed, an excellent restaurant. Expérience fantastique: Dès votre arrivée vous êtes "accueillis" par une allée de platanes multi centenaires d'une rare beauté.. qui vous guide vers le magnifique château trônant au milieu de son écrin de verdure, un parc de 7Ha joliment entretenu et arboré (les couleurs de l'automne ajoutent à ce tableau déjà réjouissant une note de romantisme tout à fait charmante). Nous avons séjourné le temps d'un week-end dans ce cadre idyllique avec ma compagne et nous avons été ravis. Un accueil chaleureux et sympathique, le personnel aux petits soins, bref toutes les prestations que l'on attend de ce genre d'établissement. Nous recommandons fortement ce lieu hors du temps.

Expérience fantastique: Château idílico. Llegamos por la noche y nos encontramos con su largo pasaje de árboles que dirigían a la fachada principal, la primera impresión fue bastante espectacular. Esa primera impresión no defraudó en ningún momento. El hotel no tiene demasiadas habitaciones, por lo que lo hace muy acogedor, íntimo y privilegiado. Normalmente los castillos así suelen ser fríos, no es el caso. Cenamos en el restaurante del hotel, tiene muy poquitas mesas, por lo que tuvimos que reservar con antelación y tuvimos una cena romántica, con buena comida y excelente servicio. Quisimos explorar las diferentes estancias del hotel y tomamos una copa en una sala al lado del bar, frente a la chimenea, en unos sofás súper, estábamos solos y disfrutamos muchísimo cada detalle, el sitio era precioso. La habitación muy cuidada, con estilo tradicional romántico en los muebles y una ventana que daba a la arboleda exterior. Pedimos el desayuno en la habitación, estaba buenísimo, la tortilla francesa estaba espectacular! El servicio fue muy agradable y nos dieron muchos tips para visitar la zona! Lugar precioso para disfrutar las diferentes estaciones del año, tiene unas instalaciones exteriores geniales para pasar días en familia, amigos o pareja. Expérience négative: Cadre magnifique, très beau chateau. Service au top. Restaurant : plats raffinés, entrée St Jacques bonne mais pour 25euros on s'attendait à être plus surpris gustativement. Idem pour le plat, le saumon, 4 bouts d'artichaut, la sauce et voilà 40euros. J'ai dîné dans d'autres gastronomiques et un étoilé à Salon où l'on comprend mieux les tarifs, on est surpris par les saveurs, on déguste. Là, rien de plus qu'on pourrait faire à la maison désolé. Sauf le dessert oui très bon. Bref tres cher pour la qualité et quantité, abusif quand même, déçus.

Expérience fantastique: Where do I start. This place is an absolute dream. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed warmly by Vladislav. The rooms were elegant yet modern and the chateau grounds were nothing short of breathtaking with the rows of trees lining the entrance seemingly waving to you as you enter the grounds each time. Now, what made this place exceptional was their hospitality and unparalleled attention to detail of their guests’ needs. We had been walking back from the town centre and the roads were quite dark. It happened that Catherine drove past and saw us. To our surprise, minutes later, Leonie drove out specially to pick us up. We were really touched. That’s just one of the many little gestures and touches, including coming to set the room for bedtime every evening. On our last day before check out, there were some works in the estate. They were very apologetic and made it up so generously. Our stay was nothing short of amazing - we felt right at home, and will certainly be back. Special mention to Vladislav for his always approachable, warm disposition and his humor. Always there to take care of your every need. We will see you back next season ;)

Expérience fantastique: For our first trip to Provence, we chose Le Chateau des Alpilles and it did not disappoint! What a place. The whole property is perfectly stunning. We had many meals at the hotel which were incredible. And we had the best time using the amenities - a massage, rode electric bikes around town and enjoyed the pool. Vlad was extra helpful in giving us a route to ride the bikes which was perfect. Thank you to a wonderful team for making our 10 year anniversary trip so special!

Mi critica es el desayuno. Es a la carta o por una tarifa fija el desayuno es “completo”. No me gustó, las porciones son pequeñas, las bebidas son muy chiquitas. Tenes que pedir para q te traigan.

Expérience fantastique: Most gorgeous chateau! The hotel is incredibly charming. The interior design is beautiful. We would leave our window open in the mornings and evenings and listen to the birds and it was so peaceful. The hotel staff is probably the best part. They take care of every need possible. They are so warm and friendly and helpful! If you order room service they are at your door within 10 minutes. They printed our boarding passes for us and delivered them to our door. The housekeepers kept our room so nice and I think even came twice a day. Emilie was so helpful in helping plan our itinerary from bike riding trails to dinner reservations! Celestin was so helpful booking our taxi rides and logistics with excursions and the airport. :) It would be a dream to come back!

They have created a true piece of serenity. We ate at the restaurant for dinner one of our nights and the food was outstanding. We were a group of 17 guests, and the staff were the nicest we ever encountered - they helped us with every request before our arrival and during our stay at the Château. Also, the food was absolutely fantastic - every dish was incredible. This was truly the wedding of our dreams and it was all thanks to the lovely people of Le Château des Alpilles.

Hier empfehlen wir das petit dejourne in der Stadt zu nehmen. Finster war das Zimmer, aber sauber. Das familiengeführte Haus war sehr bemüht, leidet aber wie alle derzeit unter Personalknappheit. Das bemerkt man doch etwas. Preis Leistung war in Ordnung

You felt like you were in nature, not some manicured resort. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent, and beautifully presented. Lovely wine as well. Expérience fantastique: Enjoyed a relaxing dinner with delicious and attractive food. Using fresh products in style, the French chef has been cooking in the castle for the last 27 years. The dishes elegantly combine various taste. We started with a simple soup like our grandmothers were making and a salad of St Jacques. For main courses we selected the sea bass and the special of the day, the venison the had very nice crust while staying tender inside. They offer a very good selection of wines from glass to 1/4, 1/2 and full bottles. Together with a cheese board and a soufflé for dessert we paid about 100€/person. Highly recommended .

Expérience fantastique: De passage à Saint Rémy en Provence, nous avons fait une halte dans cet ancien Mas à deux pas de saint Rémy. Le cadre est somptueux au calme. La chambre est bien aménagée. Le lit très confortable. Le personnel est extrêmement disponible et très accueillant. Profitez du restaurant, nous y avons très bien mangé. Le petit déjeuner dehors est un vrai régal. Des plaides sont à disposition pour des matins frisquets. Piscine chauffée. Bref tout est réuni pour un bon séjour détente..

Expérience négative: Ceci concerne uniquement le restaurant: nous avons réservé qq semaines à l'avance pour aller manger. Comme la réponse automatique n'était pas très clair à mes yeux (priorité aux clients de l'hôtel sans dire quand on allait nous informer si nous sommes les bievenus ou non) j'ai appellé 2 jours avant. On m'a expliqué qu'on allait m'informer le jour même... j'attends tjrs cet appel

Expérience fantastique: J'ai eu la surprise d'être invitée pour mon Anniversaire le 1er Septembre dans ce magnifique endroit qui m'a rappelé mon enfance et je venais souvent jouer au château car j'habitais en face Je réve d'y revenir

Expérience fantastique: Nous avons dîner dans cet endroit avec notre fils et nous 3 avons trouvé le lieu hors du temps , magique, magnifique , apaisant et j'en passe. De l'accueil tel lors de la réservation, du chez de rang , du personnel, des plats succulents.... A l'année prochaine !

Expérience négative: Un conseil n’y allez jamais avec des enfants. La direction va jusqu’à vous demander de partir lorsque un enfant fait 3 gazouillis. Intolerance et irrespect ont été les maîtres mots de mon repas de ce jour.

Expérience positive: ALLERGIES TO FOOD? DON'T CHOOSE IT. OTHERWISE, IT'S AMAZING. Despite the request to send previously the list of allergies (did it), the hotel didn’t do anything to manage my allergies: menu just in french (no english version), no ingredients list of dishes or allergens into them, no alternatives based on my needs. Nothing. Every time before I ordered I had to remember the staff I was allergic to some ingredients and every time they seemed to discover this for the first time. Even after 3 days of staying I received a dessert with 3 ingredients I’m allergic to… (I bounced it, clearly) and in the end I ate something I’m allergic to and felt sick. I would like to hear at least some apologies from the ownership and not only half of the dinner offered. In my opinion, it’s surely an aspect to improve in a 5 stars hotel. It’s really too dangerous to use this restaurant for an allergic person (at least I have to know what I’m eating, and not only ‘meat’ or ‘vegetables’ but even spices used, oils used, etc otherwise I can’t know what I am eating, the worst situation for an allergic person like me). A part from this low quality of service restaurant, the Chateau is simply amazing and I suggest it under every point of view: location, clean rooms, pool, spaces, furniture, everything! Perfect for a lovely staying in Provence.

Expérience positive: J'y travaille le parc et magnifique on entend le chant des oiseaux les dépendances extérieur sont très bien agencé chaque jour je suis émerveillé.

Expérience fantastique: Très grand domaine, joli et bien entretenu par plusieurs jardiniers, avec un ruisseau et plusieurs mares. Un terrain de tennis juste à 50 m de la grande piscine. Grand espace pour jouer avec les chiens qui sont autorisés ou à d’autres sports. Plusieurs petits bâtiments de logement avec des jolies chambres. Un petit salon avec l’exposition de peinture juste à côté de la salle de sport. Bar ouvert toute la journée à la piscine. Déjeuner et souper au bâtiment principal et repas à la piscine. Un soir pas semaine, il y a des musiciens locaux qui viennent mettre l’ambiance pour le souper à la piscine. Parking voiture sécurisé pour une cinquantaine de véhicules avec normalement une borne de charge pour les véhicules électriques et une zone de parking visiteur et arrivée. Présence d’un voiturier et d’un bagagiste. Possibilité de faire nettoyer ses habits car la chambre est lavé tout les jours. Beaucoup de possibilités d’endroits à visiter pendant le séjours.
