Expérience fantastique: JUST LOVED!!! It was a gorgeous hotel with the kindest, most helpful staff. The dinner I ate there was my favorite meal of the trip. DIVINE! And the pool was the perfect escape after a day of playing tourist. I can not say enough how thrilled I was to have stayed there. It is an easy 10 min walk into town and I loved the quietness at night. SO CHARMED. Can not wait to return.

Expérience fantastique: The hotel is exquisite. We enjoyed every minute. It is a nice walk into Aix. Everyone was extremely accommodating. We had dinner in the restaurant which is truly 5 star. The meal was delicious and the service was exceptional. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

Both Isabelle & Lola were truly gracious hosts as they took great care of us, especially Isabelle who made it really fun and exciting to be there! And to Lola, who recommended the best rosee and red wine ever! Bravo to these ladies and to the restaurant! This is a must go to restaurant when you are in Aix-en-Provence

Expérience fantastique: Had a very nice stay in room #42 which has a lovely view of the garden. Comfy 180 cm bed, which was great and the Nespresso machine & kettle to make a tisane was appreciated. Breakfast was excellent with lots of sweet and savoury choices. Freshly made to order eggs too. Highly recommend the perfectly poached eggs Friendly staff throughout. It's a very easy 10 minute walk into the middle of Aix & also to the station (think about catching the train from Aix to Carro La Couronne via Marseille to expérience the beauty of the Cote Bleue ) To visit la Mont de Sainte Victoire, the Parking du Plan d'En Chois is only a 25 minute drive from the hotel where there are way-marked paths up to the top - wear very sturdy shoes & take a litre of water with you - the view & the satisfaction of the accomplishment is well worth the effort.

Expérience fantastique: There is something special about arriving in Aix at dusk after a long journey. As we pull into the hotel, the sky is glowing and the cicadas are humming; something tells us our stay here will be like no other. And then, we are greeted by the manager, Frederic. He is gracious, humble and genuinely concerned about his guests. Over the next several days, we begin to feel comfortable in Le Pigonnet and understand how well Frederic runs the place. The maids are very kind and adjust to cleaning our rooms with our schedule. We are able to relax and explore the town-- the highlight of which is a farmers market: fresh fruit, spices, jam etc. I would also note the hotel's beautiful grounds (including swimming pool) and many trees that make for a lovely dining area/bar. Pigonnet is the kind place you want to return to-- because it's in a great place, but also because of the people who make it great.

Expérience fantastique: We had the most phenomenal holiday at Le Pigonnet! The staff was incredible, so warm, friendly, and helpful and just amazing all around. We were traveling with our young son (17 months) and the staff could not have been more accommodating when it came to meeting his needs, including making special dinner for him, as well as providing warm milk. I must make a special mention of Hugh, Abibu, Charlotte and Isabel, who all went above and beyond! The rooms were well appointed, spacious enough for our purposes and maintained daily. The pool was an absolute delight, and just being in the gardens and having breakfast every morning in the beautiful scenery was such a privilege. It truly felt like we were experiencing the traditional Provencal moment every day at Le Pigonnet.

Expérience fantastique: Court séjour à l’hôtel le Pigonnet c’était le cadeau de mariage de mon mari et que dire tout est parfait de A à Z, le personnel est aux petits soins pour nous pendant toute la durée du séjour, l’hôtel est très beau avec du caractère et du charme, les chambres sont spacieuses sobres et élégantes, on y dort très bien ! De belles attentions avec une bouteille de champagne en chambre. Le restaurant est délicieux et le massage n’en parlons pas ! Ça a été le meilleur massage de ma vie, je recommande à 100% ! Le service est irréprochable et l accueil très convivial! Le jardin est magnifique, on y trouve des bancs ou chaises un peu partout le temps de se poser pour contempler ces grands arbres et toute cette variété de végétation! La partie de pétanque a été fort appréciée! Ce petit paradis se trouve dans la ville d' Aix! Face à la Sainte Victoire!

Expérience fantastique: So many great things to say about our 3 night stay at Le Pigonnet! Great service, beautiful grounds, very good location. This was the perfect weekend retreat for me and my wife. There are countless spots throughout the property to pull up a chair for a drink or to relax and read a book. The pool is a very nice size and surrounded by relaxing cyprus trees and fountains. Dinner at the hotel restaurant is a real treat. The setting is so picturesque on the back patio with mature trees and hanging lights. Our sommelier recommended a wine pairing for our dinner that is now one of our favorite wines! Easy walk into town to visit the Cathedral, shops, museums, restaurants. About 1 hour drive to lavender fields in Valensole.

Expérience fantastique: There is so much to say about this amazing hotel. From the moment I arrived at the hotel it felt more like a bed and breakfast then a hotel because of the personal service. Each person that greeted us was friendly and helpful to us which was so appreciated after our very long travel day from the US. When we drove in the beautiful grounds were so nice to see and the parking available for our car was abundant and easy. Walking through the hotel every part we saw was beautiful and even small details were not ignored. Car: While we stayed there we rented a car so we could travel around Provence. What was excellent about this location is that it is just outside the city and very close to the freeway - best of both worlds. The freeway is about 5 minutes from the hotel which makes traveling around incredibly easy. Room:The room was HUGE! We had two twin beds, two arm chairs, two end tables, a desk, a bathroom, a closet, and a balcony with a lot of room to walk around. It is nicely decorated and feels very clean. The decorations are nice too. It felt very warm. Shuttle: The shuttle into the city and back to the hotel is incredibly easy to use and drops you off in a great location close to everything. Again, the driver was so kind and felt like he'd known us forever. Amenities in room: I was so impressed with all of the little extras in the room including the softest towels I've ever felt in any hotel (or even owned myself); the high end toiletries; free water each day; slippers; a large fridge that is cold to use; a lot of storage around the room; and a great balcony with a beautiful view. Grounds: The grounds are spectacular and kept up beautifully. We were not in the hotel enough to enjoy the grounds as much as I would have liked but what we did see it is truly magical there. The pool is fantastic too. Staff: What can I say about the staff beyond that everyone we encountered was kind and helpful. I speak some French but not a ton but probably 98% of the staff speak a good amount of English which was very appreciated. My mom and I know we are high maintenance when we travel but not once did we feel that we were putting anyone out and they were all helpful and kind with each request. Final thoughts: I'm so happy I found this hotel. I wished we could have stayed in this hotel the entire time we were there, but we stayed in other areas of France. I will recommend this to any friends that travel to Provence and will recommend this to anyone reading.

Expérience fantastique: Really lovely stay on our honeymoon in this hotel. Very clean, the staff were remarkably attentive and helpful. The gardens are stunning, and its definitely worth having a meal or at least a cocktail in the hotel lounge/bar area, which are opened up to the gardens where Cezanne painted. The front desk was very helpful, and helped recommend to us, and book, a dinner reservation as we dont speak fluent French. They also provide a shuttle into the main portion of the city, every hour, which was a great added bonus.

BUT the food in the bar was disaster ! don't order food from the bar, the fries wasn't made well, the bread was burned, I ordered lemonade - I recieved sprite! It isn't delicious, but the breakfast of the hotel was so good and delicious! The room was clean, the design of the hotel was nice, with character. The stuff (crew) was so nice!
